GlossaryDue_diligence_investigation

What means Due diligence investigation?

Examination of the company's internal economic, financial and legal status and soundness of management. For example, it is checked whether the annual figures and the administration give a good and fair picture of the state of the company.

These investigations often precede acquisitions. Specific property research can also be carried out. In this case, specific matters of the property are checked, such as the technical conditions of the property, environmental matters, lease contracts, background of the tenants and tax matters.
