GlossaryLeasehold

What means Leasehold?

Leasehold is a form of ownership title in Indonesia where you own a property for a set period, typically 10, 20, or 25 years. After this period, you transfer the property back to the former owner. It is crucial to understand that this is not a rental situation; you are the actual owner of the property and must pay property tax on it. However, the underlying land remains the property of the former owner.
