The 'Right to build' is a title of ownership in Indonesia, granting holders the right to both construct and maintain property on a parcel of land. This title does not require continual development for its preservation.
It can be acquired through purchasing 'Freehold' property or by buying land with the 'Right to Build' title from another person. A significant benefit is that even 100% foreign-owned companies can own land. Initially valid for 30 years, the 'Right to Build' can be renewed for an additional 20 years.
'Leasehold' is another ownership format favored by foreigners.
